After a long wait, Thailand will finally reopen its doors to fully vaccinated tourists from 46 countries without quarantine from the 1st of November 2021. Here is all you need to know to prepare for your trip!
Who can travel to Thailand without undergoing a quarantine?
In an announcement made today (21/10/2021), Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha mentioned the country will reopen to foreign visitors from a list of 46 countries considered as “low-risk” without having to undergo a 14 or 7 days quarantine, but instead, will have to realize a RT-PCR test when arriving in Thailand and stay only 1 night in a SHA+ or AQ hotel while waiting for the result. The visitors must be double vaccinated for at least 14 days prior to the visit and come from one of the following countries:

What are the conditions to visit Thailand without quarantine?
- To come from one of the 46 countries mentioned above and arrive by plane
- Have received two doses of a vaccine approved by Thai authorities, at least 14 days prior to the arrival in Thailand
- Have a negative RT-PCR test made maximum 72 hours before the arrival in Thailand
- Health insurance (including Covid-19 coverage) covering at least 50,000 USD
- Proof of hotel booking
- Download and install a specific app proposed by the Thai government
- Undergo a RT-PCR test within 24 hours of the arrival in Thailand and stay one night in a SHA+ or AQ hotel while waiting for the result
